The countdown to Dayton 2011 is on

Well actually, it has been on for some time.  With 14 days currently remaining, myself and Doug will be there to peruse the sites, smell the smells (lets face it – we know they are there) and hopefully bring back some new stuff and some new information. The official countdown is over on the right side of the page, and I have turned on the Hamvention weather further down the page.

While I am always out looking for the latest new stuff, I’m just as much on the search for information this year.  I’m out to meet folks who are into some of the odd ham bands and modes that I am presently into – like 220 and 900 Mhz users, and P25 and Mototrbo users.  Look for lots of pictures and video, and hopefully a daily update while we are out there.

Oh – and the image in this post is a sampling of some of my commercial gear that sees use on the ham band (and in work mode for me also).  There is stuff there for 10, 6, 2, 220, 440, 800 and 900 MHz.  How is that for coverage.  73 for now.

Those are some good radios. I recently got a few Motorola radios as well. I’ll be on the 146.520 sometime today
