A new life for an old radio

This Lafayette 11 meter rig has been around for almost 35 years, and has been passed around to many of us, mainly Doug and myself.  You likely had a QSO with one of us years ago on it or perhaps operated it yourself.  I can’t believe that I have managed to hang on to it for so long!

One of my long term projects has been slowly converting it to operate on ten meters.  Take a look at some of the progress.  It still needs a full alignment, but is functioning good enough to hear signals and put out a few watts of RF.
