Repeater update #5 – audio improvements made

Finally, in the last few days – I’ve been able to get some time to make some improvements to the repeater audio system, and get the entire system sounding a lot better. Thanks to KC4NSE, WB4FAX and N4GO for being the driving force behind this. They helped give me enough reports to realize what was going on. Check into the repeater, and you will probably be a lot more pleased with the audio of stations, and the entire system as a whole.

I am going to continue to work on tweaking what I can best describe as a delay in the receiver waking up when the station is running on high power (near 100w). The power is set to around 55w and is not acting funny, but as soon as I switch to high power, the receiver takes a few seconds to stabilize. It may have to do with a jumper, or the fact that the receiver is sitting right on top of the power transistors throwing out a pretty hefty signal. More on that as I work it out.

Thanks and 73 to all, and I look forward to hearing you.
