The W4RAT 440 MHz Mototrbo (DMR) repeater was installed by FieldComm in the summer of 2014 and continues to be supported by the group. The repeater is a Motorola XPR8300 is a part of the regional PRN network that covers across North Carolina, South Carolina and segments of Virginia and West Virginia. The repeater is located in Midlothian, VA and the antenna is at the 500 foot level (UHF station master). Coverage is excellent throughout the region (see maps). This two timeslot all digital system has access to the following talkgroups:
Timeslot 1 – Tac 1, Tac, 310, DCI Bridge, Southeast, Richmond Local
Timeslot 2 – PRN
